Electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields can interact with charged
components in physiological, cellular and molecular structures;
producing various effects on biological systems. This includes cancer
and many other illnesses.
The National Cancer Institute provides statistics on the lifetime risk of
being diagnosed with Cancer. For men the average is a 45% chance and
for women it is about 40%. Looking at cells scientists are finding reasons
why.
Cancers can be diagnosed at different stages in their development.
Stage of cancer a diagnosis may be expressed as numbers (I, II, III, or IV,
for example) or by terms such as "localized," "regional," and "distant."
The lower the number or the more localized the cancer, the better a
person's chances of benefiting from treatment and being cured.
Tracking the rates of distant, or late, cancers is a good way to monitor
the impact of cancer screening. When more cancers are detected in
early stages, fewer should be detected in late stages. So i assume this
was a late discovery of the cancer.
The cell is the smallest metabolically functional unit of life. It is an organic
information processor. This chapter will show basics of how it works and
where scientist are seeing damages from EMF studies.
The cell membrane, or plasma membrane, is a liquid crystal
semi-conductor with gates and channels that move different molecules
into and out of the cell. The membrane is said to be 'semi-permeable', in
that it can either let a substance (molecule or ion) pass through freely, or
pass through to a limited extent or not pass through at all.
Cell membranes contain thousands of different proteins used as tiny
antenna like receptors that allow cells to detect external signalling
molecules such as hormones, information from other cells, and
environmental signalling. When the cell reacts to damaging effect it
changes it normal functioning to a survival mode.
Inside each cell is the nucleus. It houses the DNA which is a nucleic acid
that contains the genetic instructions for the development and function of
living things and is the material that transfers genetic characteristics in all
life forms. Scientist have proven that effects from EMF sources such as
cell phones and more can create single and double strand DNA breaks.
Each strand is a long polymer made from repeating units called
nucleotides. These are attached by a base of which also connects to the
other strand or other side of the DNA.
It is estimated that in each human cell, about 500 bases of each DNA
strand suffers oxidative damage per day. Of these oxidative lesions, the
most damaging are double strand breaks, as they can produce
mutations, insertions and deletions of the original DNA sequence, as well
as chromosomal re-arrangement.
If you were to encounter more than the average EMF damages daily you
could see an increase in the number of mutations or alterations.
Chemotherapy is used to try and slow down the rapid growing cancer
cells. This is supposed to stop the continuing of newly mutated DNA
which then stops the cancers from growing.
The brain is the power and controller of the body constantly creating 10
million cells per second and being able to process 100,000 chemical
reactions in each cell. The human body has about 50 trillion cells total.
Cells communicate by energy fields, neurons, and chemicals they share.
The damages seen from EMF point to breaking down the calcium cell
membrane all the way to the cell nucleus which then can damage the
genes and DNA that are present in the nucleus. The cell will immediately
go into survival mode trying to repair itself from this state.
The damaged DNA and genes could respond abnormally and form a
malignant cell. This leads to the production of tumors and cancers.
